On August 26, 2025, residents of District Four voted to elect a Council Member to represent them for the remaining four-year term left vacant by David Silva after he won the mayoral seat on November 5, 2024.

The Special Election was conducted via mail-in ballot, and ballots were mailed to all registered voters in District Four only on Monday, July 28. They were due on Tuesday, August 26. The ballot box was located in front of City Hall (107 West Highway 246) and was open to accept mail-in ballots and was collected by County Election workers until 8 PM on August 26.
